Lello Mascolo was born in Naples Italy in 1971. Through his long and very eventful career he has become one of the country’s most famous DJs and Producers. Add to that the fact that he has created and run one of Italy’s most followed dance radio programs aka In Da Klubb for the Radio 105 Network as well as being a specialized club culture journalist for publications such as GQ, Trend, Kult and Tribe and you begin to get the picture of who we are talking about. The DJ side of things has seen Lello as testimonial for Diesel, Gas, Umm and others as well as headlining exclusive parties and special occasions for some of the most luxurious brands in Milan including Miu Miu, Versace, Iceberg, Valtur, Phard, Moschino and a whole list of others. He has also had a hand in creating, from the ground up, the QI, Egò and Must clubs in his own country. Over the years Lello Mascolo has played or been resident at just about every worthy club in the Italian peninsula and has played often at some of the biggest and best clubs all over Europe such as Ministry Of Sound, Pacha, Privilege, Divino, Cavo Paradiso, Queen and Nikki Beach just to name a few. On the production side of things Lello has been a very busy man indeed and boasts releases on a whole bunch of labels that range from Spinnin to Netswork, Molto to Saifam, Urban Life to Gotta Keep Faith and more… So what makes this man tick, what makes Lello Mascolo different as a DJ or as a producer? It has to be his very own, inimitable, way of mixing together Mediterranean influences with some heavy beats creating a sound and style that is much followed not only by his very high number of listeners of his In Da Klubb program but also all those who go and see him play behind the decks whether in Italy or abroad. With the arrival of 2013 Lello Mascolo has decided to take stock of what he has achieved up until now and, with much planning and astute programming, is about to move onto the next step of his career that will see him maximize his true potential on an international level.
